Donkey Jaw Projects recently revealed their first resin figure, MOLT-The Locust Monster! I was fortunate enough to paint a figure for Plex's first wave of figures. I call it, 'The Starkology Edition' Mainly because his color scheme is similar to that of Iron Man, and the name was inspired by Ghostface Killah, one of my favorite MC's. So hats off to Plex and Donkey Jaw Projects! And thanks again for the Collabo Op ;) All photos provided by Plex. If you would like to get your hands on one of these beauties just visit The Donkey Jaw Store today!

Special Delivery-The Resin Syndicate's Mini-Figure, STORMIE!
Hey Guys, Just got a package in the mail today from The Resin Syndicate and thought I'd share. I ordered one of their Stormie mini-figures from their StoreEnvy shop. I was pleasantly surprised to find a cool, tiny, and crimson painted Stormie with some faded areas here and there. Not sure if this was intentional or not, but i thought it made the figure even doper. He even came with some cool stickers you can check out below (which i actually tore upon opening the package, whoops!) So props to The Resin Syndicate for the well executed figure, and the swanky stickers :) You can visit The Resin Syndicates official Facebook page for more. Also check additional links below for more of their awesome work.
Peace!....Hopefully

Molding, And Casting, And Crap, Oh My!
Everyone has got to start somewhere, That's why I've decided to post the (quite frankly) embarrassing results of my first attempts at molding and casting. I failed to pay attention to the little things i should have, and the result was an odd collection of Venus Di Milo like figures. The sculpt shown is actually the second figure in my soon to be released, Black Metal Buddies line. Enjoy your naughty little sneak peak ;) And stop laughing at Me!!
*Products used were Smooth-On Silicone Rubber (OO MOO) and Smooth Cas 300-Liquid Plastic.
After finally learning how to use the products correctly, i highly recommend picking them up for yourself at http://www.smooth-on.com

CRYING GULL TOYS IS IN THE BUILDING
Greetings and Salutations! I welcome you to my humble little blog which will serve as the official home to my newest venture into the world of Art, Crying Gull Toys! I decided to take a brake form My Mego customizing (http://www.mckenziemckustoms.blogspot.com) to concentrate on my newest passion, Designer Toys. Inspired by the works of The Sucklord (Suckadelic), Tone Tank (Scumlife), Frank Kozik, Killer Bootlegs, Leecifer, Man Or Monster? Studios, Grody Shogun, The many talented folks behind Super 7, turboPISTOLA, And others (so bad with names) I've decided to throw my hat into the Designer Toy Ring. So stick around folks, I have big plans for Crying Gull starting with the release of our first resin mini-figure line, Black Metal Buddies! The first figure in the series, Abyss, will be posted soon and when made available, will be limited to seven pieces. The figure is hand sculpted, hand cast, and hand painted, will come complete with signed header card, resealable baggie, and a whopping ZERO points of articulation! So start saving up those pennies kids :) Any questions? Please feel free to drop me a line. Hope all is well in your world :)
Peace,
Will McKenzie
